However the certification bodies are wooing the customer Low cost and fast certification is promised
INFRASTRUCTURE (clause 6.3 )
- to manufacture cable glands you need AUTOMATS
but the certifying body has certified a company using conventional work shop lathes
- Ex d product enclosures are to be 100% hydraulically tested in India
The company certified is using manual test pumps with no manifolding to test many enclosures simultaneosuly
- The fixtures to test the covers of the enclosure is not available
-In spigot jointed enclosure, the gap is to be maintaned of 0.15 max for certain enclosures
but the company is using Punjab lathes with run out of 0.05
- in threaded joints, the class of fit required is 6g6H
the company does not have pitch dia measuring instrument for large threaded joints
- in flange joints, the flatness is to me maintained
the company does not have surface plate of the required size
WORK ENVIRONMENT (clause 6.3 )
- the process of manufacturing the product requires a clean room of class 7
the company has no clean room
- the kitchen of the restaurant is located naer the staff toilet
The staff has to cross the kitchen to enter the toilet
CONTINUAL IMPROVEMENT (clause 4.1)
Companies are subjected to routine annual surveillance and recertification
to the best of my knowledge in India, there has been no case recorded wherein a comapany's certification was terminated for failure to comply with clause 4.1
